About COHL
Empowering Youth Through Hockey for 55 years
OUR HOCKEY Legacy
Our History
Since its inception in 1968-69, the Community Outdoor Hockey League (formerly Oakridge Park Hockey League) has opened the door for children aged 6-12 to explore the exhilarating world of hockey for the first time. Our league is designed to introduce the basics of the game in a fun and engaging way, making each player’s initial experience on the ice memorable and exciting.
With a focus on beginners, COHL is committed to creating a supportive environment where young players can learn and grow. Set in the Martin grove outdoor rink, we emphasize sportsmanship and teamwork, ensuring every participant not only learns how to play but also understands the importance of cooperation and respect in building a strong, inclusive community.
